Apple iMac 2017: Release Date, Price & Spec

It’s been a while since Apple has last updated their iMac series. Their last update came in 2015. After that, almost two years, their fans are waiting for the next anticipated launch of their iMac 2017. Apple CEO Tim Cook, in the year 2016, last revealed that his team was working on some next generation desktop. Nothing in detail was revealed by the great man.

Apple has done a number of updates in their products in this month of March 2017. It includes a new 9.7 inch iPad, increasing the storage option for iPad 4 mini and iPad SE, introducing a red color option for the iPhone 7 and iPhone plus. But still, there is no news of Mac. Hence all the Apple lovers believe that the launch of iMac 2017 will be a blast in the coming few months.

According to some news, Apple fans got super excited on the day of 21st March 2017 when Apple announced that it was going offline for maintenance. They were anticipating that Apple would come up with their iMac 2017 once they go online after that. But unfortunately, that did not happen.

So now the new prediction is Apple is going to announce their MacBook launch at their next event Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2017 which is scheduled from June 5 to June 9, 2017. Usually, a device takes two-three months after the announcement. Hence the latest prediction is that Apple is going to launch its iMac 2017 in upcoming September. There was also a rumor that Apple is going to launch the product in April. But now, only a few days left, it is almost impossible to launch the product in the upcoming month.

Apple iMac 2017 is surely going to be the most sophisticated MacBook that Apple has ever produced.

  • Processor: – The big question is whether Apple is going to use AMD Ryzen 7 or the Intel i7 for their next MacBook. According to Droid Report, Apple will most likely be using the new AMD Ryzen 7 1800X chip over Intel i7 because of its superior performance.
  • Graphics: – The iMac 2017 will feature 5K retina display to complement its high-end 27-inch screen. It will have OLED touch bar and AMD Polaris 10 or 11 GPU for greater speed.
  • VR Support: – There are rumors that the new iMac 2017 will come along Virtual Reality technology. It will also come with USB Type-C Thunderbolt 3 ports, full flash storage and Touch ID. It will be lighter and slimmer in design than its previous version.

iMac 2017: Price

The leaked price of the 27 inch iMac 2017 with 32 GB RAM and 2 TB Fusion Drive is capped at $3,199.99. The price is kept quite higher than the previous one because of all the upgrades that will take place on the new device.
